Salty or sodium rich foods can increase stress on the heart by holding extra fluid in your body. It can raise the blood pressure as well. This inflammation causing agent, thus should be limited in your diet

Occasional consumption of alcohol in moderate levels are fine but excess consumption of alcohol can worsen your overall health which includes arthritis. Even then, avoiding alcohol completely would be the best option. Liquor consumption can increase the risk of developing gout.

Alcohol is diuretic. It means that the body loses water content as you drink alcohol. This leads to problems in ligaments and tissues. Joints require fluids to move smoothly.
